MESA is less than an hours’ drive from Adelaide CBD and Adelaide Airport. If you’re travelling from interstate or overseas, we recommend hiring a car because there aren’t many Uber’s operating in the area.

Absolutely! MESA del mar offers plenty of space for the whole family. Grandparents, parents, kids - you’re all going to love it! For really little kids, we’ve got you covered - safety gates for the stairs, child friendly crockery + cutlery, portacot, highchair, playmat and we even have covers for the sofa so you can relax when there might be some sticky fingers.

MESA del mar is perfect for groups of up to 8 guests. There are 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Sleep comfortably in 3 queen size bedrooms on the ground floor and a king size bed in the master bedroom upstairs. All 4 bedrooms have heating + cooling, spacious built in wardrobes and are styled to provide a calm space to relax + sleep soundly.

Which beach? MESA del mar not only offers luxury accommodation, but an enviable location on the Esplanade. Walk out the front door and across the road to the Aldinga Heritage Reef. A few steps to the left you’ll find the famous drive on beach at Aldinga & Silver Sands. Last but not least, Port Willunga beach is a lovely 30 minute stroll along the sand.

Enjoy the convenience of secure garaging for one car, and plenty of street parking on the Esplanade + side street.

The cellar doors and award winning restaurants of McLaren Vale are within a 15 minute drive from MESA del mar. Do yourself a favour and book a tour with one of the lovely local operators!

You are absolutely spoilt for choice when you stay at MESA del mar. There are cafe’s and restaurants within walking distance. The famous Star of Greece is a 5 minute drive. Willunga was just voted #1 in Australia for food + wine, and it’s only a 10 minute drive from MESA. Then there’s McLaren Vale - a 15 minute drive to an abundance of family friendly + award winning cellar doors, distilleries and restaurants.

The Mini Retreat is perfect for when you want a romantic getaway with your partner, or maybe you want to have some time to yourself for a few days. It’s spacious accommodation with the amenities of home, that still feels cosy and intimate. Basically, a Mini Retreat booking excludes the spaces you don’t need (the 3 queen bedrooms + bathroom downstairs). The rest is yours to enjoy!
